First Day at the Beach

Everybody was excited to get to the beach the first day ... everybody, that is, except Mary Rose. I wish I had a picture of the look of horror on her face. Apparently she didn't realize that the beach had WATER. She scolded the ocean for being on her beach. She did, however, enjoy the sand. As long as the ocean didn't get too close. At one point, David told her to get in the water. She responded "I'm not getting in that -- it's wet!"

Gideon loved the sand getting in between his toes. The other kids enjoyed jumping into the waves with their noodles. We finally went back inside when everybody started shivering. We watched Star Wars and ate dinner -- PB&J, Cheetos, and "Peanut Butter Seeds" (the name Stephen gave honey roasted peanuts).
