Fun, Fun, Fun

Aunt Kiki would be proud ... Joseph says "the wizard movie" (Harry Potter) is his favorite movie. He's also rather fond of Star Wars, and turned his bubble wand from Nana into a light saber by attaching it to his noodle. I wish I had gotten a picture of that.

Thursday, we took the kids swimming in the pool. Then we spent the afternoon at Chuck E. Cheese. We practically had the place to ourselves :) We decided to splurge and bought a birthday cake for the kids, even though it wasn't anybody's birthday. We finally decided that Daddy's birthday is next Wednesday, so it must have been Daddy's cake. Although Mary still insists that it was her birthday, and sang "Happy Birthday to Mary," a few times.

We bought and watched Nim's Island with the kids that night, and had several "movie night snacks." Joseph also says he LOVES that movie.

Yesterday, we spent most of the day at the beach. Mary spent most of the time crying, and Gideon had a blast trying to crawl into the ocean (but Mommy wouldn't let him).

My mom mentioned that a couple from church suggested we try out Snoopy's. David said he would enjoy taking me to a Seafood place, so we went and found it. Google Maps lead us to the wrong place, but we found it by driving around. The food was wonderful! And so was the atmosphere -- it's on a pier off the bridge to Padre Island. After dinner, we walked next door to Scoopy's, their ice cream place. The kids enjoyed "rainbow icecream" (sherbert), I had a Brownie Icecream Cupcake, and David had Sticky Rice with Cream. Yummy.

Gideon liked my Icecream Cupcake, too. I wouldn't let him have the brownie.

Today, we plan on going to the pool. Then I must start cleaning out the sand from the condo!

  1. Glad to hear that you enjoyed Snoopy's...I will tell David and Pam Ross tomorrow when I see them. Does Mary still not like the beach??? I was wondering why she was crying...
and Aunt Kiki will be very glad to have another Harry Potter fan in the family! Joseph will have to wait until he is much older to watch the last few movies tho!

  2. No, Mary does NOT like the water on the beach at all. She likes the sand, but she's scared of the water.
