Due to sickness in the family we had worship at home today. When we explained communion, we explained to the children how Jesus was going to raise us from the dead as He was raised. The children filled in several details, and soon we were talking about heaven: we will live forever, we will live in God's house, we will eat at Jesus' table, God has many rooms forus to live in so we will all have a place.
Stephen piped up and asked "And does God have toys for us to play with?" I answered "God has many good gifts to give us. He likes to give us things." A smile burst out on Jeremiah's face and he hollered a sudden realization "I like God, now!" I guess that's a new phenomenon. :)
