Joseph has gone to his very first day camp. He LOVED every minute of it, and made some new friends. He sits with a girl at lunch, and says that she is a good friend because she likes the same kind of sandwich he does. He shares his skittles with her. I started packing extra so that he would have enough to share.
I was worried about him riding alone on a bus. He's never done anything like this before. I worried that he would be scared, since he didn't know any of the adults on the bus very well, and he's usually very cautious about new situations. But, apparently, after the bus rolled out of the parking lot, he was cutting up and having a grand ol' time.
He enjoyed doing the crafts. He says his favorite thing of all was the horse riding, which he only got to do once. He stayed out of the pool. I'm not surprised there. Hopefully, we might get him some swimming lessons before next year, and he'll feel more confident around the water.
Looks like he could've used a dip in the pool, though. He came home every day hot and sweaty. Some days, also covered in dirt.
