Gideon has started climbing out of his crib, and falling to the floor. I kept trying to put him down for his nap, and kept hearing a THUD from the room, followed by little footsteps. I said "Gideon?" And two little eyes would silently peek around the corner at me.
Stinker.
So, tonight, he is going to bed on a mattress on the floor. We told him it was his big boy bed, and he seemed excited, but worried. He seemed nervous :) I sat next to him while he fell asleep, and I'll be sleeping next to him to keep an eye on him tonight. He woke up just a few minutes ago, confused, and wandered around the room a little. He's back in bed now -- rubbing his head puts him to sleep, for the record.
Soon, we'll be getting a bunk bed for Stephen, and Gideon will get the lower bunk. That will be his real first big boy bed. Till then, he seems safer on the floor :)
