Black Bean Brownies

I finally got around to making the Black Bean Brownies I blogged about before. I had high hopes for this recipe, but sadly the verdict is that they are terrible. The kids were so excited to see them. But the first thing they said after biting into one was "Are there beans in these? I taste beans!" And they did taste like beans. The texture was good, but the taste left much to be desired.

So, I will  be on the lookout for another healthy brownie. I really like the idea of inserting healthy things into brownies ... but it's gotta taste good, too!

  1. I seem to be the only family member who couldn't taste the black beans, but maybe they were covered up for me by the icing. It was a pretty lousy brownie, but tolerable for me. But we'll never have them again since they weren't tolerable for anybody else. :)
